Carl O'Neil of O'Neil Farm in Duxbury was at the (Mayflower Brewing Company) loading dock filling his pickup truck with containers of spent malt that had contributed sweetness and flavor to the beer and would now be fodder for his cattle.

Mr. O'Neil shared with me that he remembers keeping the milk cool in Hall's Brook, bottling and processing the milk in the side kitchen of his house, delivering milk in a wagon, sending milk to a bottling plant for bottling and having to buy it back for delivery.
